One of our clients, a national foodservice company, are looking for a Customer Relations Team Leader to join their expanding team.

The role:

They have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Customer Relations Team Leader to join their experienced, office-based customer centric team at their head office in Weston-Super-Mare. Reporting to one of their Regional Operations Managers, the role will focus primarily on leading and supporting a team of Customer Relations Executives who are responsible for outbound engagement with their existing members. The team’s key objective is to build strong relationships, identify supply gaps, and support their members in achieving cost savings while strengthening their current supply chains.

You will be responsible for coaching, motivating and developing the team to maximise engagement, build rapport, and understand their members pain points. This will support the delivery of their solution with a view of driving commercial opportunities. You will play a key role in ensuring members receive a consultative and value-driven experience in every interaction.

You must be capable of developing strong working relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders, and hold a proactive and enthusiastic attitude to support your team in identifying and converting opportunities that deliver value to their members.

You will work closely with their admin support team, field based teams, and senior management team to ensure alignment on member needs, supplier opportunities, and overall business objectives.

They're looking for someone with experience in leading a customer-focused, outbound engagement team, with energy and enthusiasm who can lead from the front; you’ll need to be results-focused with a strong service mindset, allowing you to support your team in delivering both customer satisfaction and commercial outcomes.

Essential skills:

  • Proven experience working in a customer relations, outbound calling or account management environment
  • A proven track record in managing and developing a successful team
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring and leadership
  • Strong ability to build relationships with existing customers and internal stakeholders
  • Confidence and ability to support a team in identifying opportunities and driving outcomes
  • Strong customer service focus with a commercial awareness
  • Driven, organised and service-focused
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Internal

  • A passion to build on existing customer focused experience
  • Confident, friendly and professional
  • Good IT skills, including good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to learn and adapt to internal systems and software
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills

Desirable skills:

  • Previous experience working in a leadership role within a contact centre or outbound team
  • Experience within purchasing, supply chain or hospitality sectors
  • Experience working within supplier or brand owner environments, with a clear understanding of how these partners operate and add value within the hospitality and leisure sector
