CRM Developer
Location: Manchester
Duration: 31/12/2026
Work setup: 4 days onsite/week
Pay Rate: £358 per day all inc. (PAYE through Umbrella)
Role Description
We are a Global Recruitment specialist that provides support to the clients across EMEA, APAC, US and Canada. We have an excellent job opportunity for you.
This role requires a hands-on developer with strong technical expertise across Dynamics 365, Microsoft Dataverse, Power Platform, integration technologies, and modern software development practices.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development and support of business-critical CRM solutions while helping drive automation, innovation, and continuous improvement across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, support, and maintain Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Microsoft Dataverse solutions.
- Build and maintain integrations between Dynamics 365 and internal/external systems using Dataverse APIs, Dynamics 365 Web APIs, Azure services, and third-party APIs.
- Configure and maintain Dynamics 365 security models, including security roles, teams, business units, field-level security, and access controls.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated unit tests for custom Dynamics 365 components and integrations.
- Use Microsoft Visual Studio and VS Code to develop, debug, test, and deploy Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
- Participate in solution design workshops and contribute to architectural discussions, ensuring solutions align to Microsoft best practices and Vanguard standards.
- Manage and deploy changes across environments using managed solutions, Azure DevOps, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to development standards, technical documentation, and governance practices.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Test Automation teams to support the creation of end-to-end, integration, regression, and automated testing solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to teams looking to integrate with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across Dynamics 365, Dataverse, integrations, and supporting technologies.
- Coordinate technical investigations and support requests with Microsoft Support and third-party vendors.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to performance, reliability, security, monitoring, and platform optimisation.
- Develop and maintain custom Dynamics 365 functionality, including:
- C# Plugins
- Custom APIs
- Custom Workflow Activities
- Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) Controls
- JavaScript and TypeScript Web Resources
- Power Apps
- Power Automate Flows

Required Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Dataverse development experience.
- Strong experience developing C# Plugins, Custom APIs, and Custom Workflow Activities.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Dataverse architecture, solution design, and data modelling.
- Experience building integrations using:
- Microsoft Dataverse Web APIs
- Dynamics 365 Web APIs
- REST APIs
- OAuth and modern authentication mechanisms
- Experience developing:
- PCF Controls
- JavaScript and TypeScript solutions
- Power Apps
- Power Automate
- Custom Web Resources
- Strong experience using Microsoft Visual Studio for Dynamics 365 development.
- Experience using Visual Studio Code for Power Platform, PCF, JavaScript, TypeScript, and automation development.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated unit tests using MSTest, NUnit, xUnit, or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of software engineering best practices, including:
- Unit Testing
- Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Mocking Frameworks
- Code Reviews
- Code Quality Practices
- Secure Coding Standards
- Source Control and Branching Strategies
- Experience integrating automated tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience managing deployments using Dynamics 365 Solutions and Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 security architecture and its impact on customisations and integrations.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
- Experience integrating Dynamics 365 with third-party systems and APIs.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Collaborating effectively across the Crew Desktop Team and wider technology organisation to deliver valuable business outcomes.
- Contributing to the ongoing evolution of Vanguard's CRM and Power Platform capabilities through innovation, automation, AI adoption, and continuous improvement.
