Customer Service Advisor – Government Services

Fully Remote | Full-Time (37.5 Hours per Week) | Fixed-Term Contract until 31 January 2027 | £13.45 per hour (£14.80 London Living Wage)

We're looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our Government Services team on a Fixed-Term Contract until 31 January 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a service that supports customers across the UK, helping them navigate important processes and providing clear, accurate information when they need it most. Working Pattern

  • Full-Time – 37.5 hours per week
  • Fully Remote Working
  • Flexible shift patterns
  • Operating Hours: 7:30am – 10:30pm, Monday to Sunday
  • Shifts will be scheduled within these operating hours

What You'll Be Doing

As a Customer Service Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for customers, delivering excellent service across multiple communication channels.

You'll

  • Support customers via telephone, email, webchat and case management systems
  • Resolve enquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Deliver accurate information and guidance
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records
  • Work confidently across multiple systems and platforms
  • Adapt to changing guidance, processes and priorities
  • Provide a positive and professional customer experience with every interaction

What We're Looking For

We're seeking individuals who are adaptable, engaging and passionate about helping people.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail when documenting cases or interpreting information
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, CRM systems and online portals
  • Ability to manage multiple communication channels effectively
  • Comfortable learning new systems, processes and digital tools
  • Experience within customs, movement of goods, import/export, logistics or other regulated environments would be advantageous
