The Role

Customer Service Advisor

Full Time
Permanent position
Office Based

Location: Canterbury
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm

We carefully balance delivering excellent service to our customers whilst ensuring the business is run effectively. As a mutual, supporting our customers and paying their claims comes first. We are a top ten UK insurance company and the UK’s largest rural insurer, with an agency network of over 250 local offices.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen within the Canterbury and Sittingbourne Agency.

About the role

As a Customer Service Advisor within our team, you’ll be working at the very heart of an expanding local business. Once trained, you will specialise in insurance and financial services and be able to provide exceptional customer service when handling new enquiries, alterations and renewals.

Proactively maximising sales by both cross-selling products to existing clients and generating new business, you’ll apply your excellent telephone manner to make the most of every prospect and promote the organisation at every turn. This includes introducing our Financial Services offerings which are delivered by our dedicated Financial Adviser.

About you

You will be liaising with clients, agents and underwriters, therefore excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner are a must. You will demonstrate competent use of Microsoft software, Customer Relationship Management systems and must display excellent literacy skills. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and highly organised individual with a positive and can-do attitude.

As a confident individual, you’ll consistently translate potential into revenue and will relish the challenge to drive growth of a truly customer-focused local business. We need an ambitious, friendly person, preferably with sales experience, to make the most of all that potential. You’ll deliver the award-winning service NFU Mutual has become renowned for, introduce their respected brand and sell its products to a whole host of new and existing customers in the area. Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and a willingness to learn are also key.
