Are you an experienced Customer Service Advisor looking for your next opportunity?
Cadet Direct Group is looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join our friendly team in Crowborough. Trading since 1999, we are a growing multi brand ecommerce business. Our brands include Cadet Direct, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of military and cadet kit, and Patrol Store, supplier of footwear, uniform and equipment to the emergency services and security sectors.
This is a varied role combining customer service, order management and commercial sales support, with plenty of opportunity to develop your skills and grow with the business.
The Role and Responsibilities
Customer Service & Order Entry
- Answer customer calls, emails and website enquiries.
- Help customers with product, order, delivery and account queries.
- Create and process telephone and email orders.
- Maintain accurate customer and order records in our CRM system.
- Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally.
- Work with our warehouse, purchasing and finance teams to manage orders, backorders and deliveries.

Commercial Sales
- Be a key contact for new and existing school customers.
- Prepare school quotes accurately and quickly, applying pricing and discounts appropriately.
- Build relationships with customers and follow up on enquiries.
- Work with the marketing team to create campaigns and grow communications with new and existing contacts.
- Coordinate custom embroidery orders with our design and embroidery teams.
Our Requirements
- Previous customer service, sales support, order processing or account management experience.
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- A friendly, calm and helpful approach to customers.
- Experience using CRM or order management systems would be beneficial.
- Experience with ecommerce channels; Amazon, eBay or online marketplaces would be an advantage.
- Ability to commute daily to our office in Crowborough, East Sussex.
