How you will Energise Our Team 🤝

We have an exciting opportunity to work in our Metering team in a role where you will work alongside Metering Leads, supporting Smart meter deployment, post meter install performance, and all tasks associated with maintaining the metering portfolio. The role will handle work requests, exceptions, queries and completions using your knowledge of metering to deliver exemplary customer service and ensure that key performance metrics are achieved. A subject matter expert, you will be responsible for ensuring that third party metering partners are equipped to deliver against contractual KPIs, whilst supporting the requirements to maintain a compliant smart metering portfolio.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Book appointments for customers to have smart meters installed, contributing to the company’s overall meter installation targets
  • Act as an expert and primary point of contact for customers, resolving meter queries promptly and effectively
  • Work with third parties and review internal data to ensure smart meters record information accurately, enabling correct customer billing
  • Liaise with third parties and customers to schedule appointments for investigating or resolving meter faults, or for meter exchanges due to upgrades or downgrade
  • Manage and support our Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) portfolio of renewable electricity generators and customers, including administering the quotation process and preparing monthly generator export statements
  • Work towards defined targets and objectives in a fast-paced environment, maintaining focus and delivering results

The role is office based and subject to a successful enhanced security screening (DBS forms part of this). Due to the nature of the role this screening process is essential, and Valda has the right to withdraw the offer if the check is unsuccessful.

  • Minimum of 1 year's experience working in a customer service or administrative position
  • Clear verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain information confidently and professionally
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, using a proactive and logical approach to resolve issues
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks and data handling
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn, embracing new systems, processes, and challenges
