At Gardening Express, we're proud to be one of the UK's leading online garden retailers. We're looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join our friendly and supportive team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, providing excellent support and ensuring every enquiry is handled professionally from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer enquiries through our online support ticket system, delivering a high standard of customer service.
  • Manage customer queries from initial contact through to resolution.
  • Provide accurate information and practical solutions to customer issues.
  • Support the wider Customer Service team with general administrative tasks.
  • Help maintain efficient day-to-day operations within the department.
  • Build positive relationships with customers while representing the Gardening Express brand.

Working Hours

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Monday to Saturday rota (5 working days per week with 2 days off).
  • 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
  • Paid overtime available when required.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer experiences.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous customer service experience (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills and confident keyboard skills.
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first approach.
  • A commitment to treating customers and colleagues with professionalism, respect, and inclusivity.

Additional Requirements

  • Due to our rural location, your own transport is essential as public transport is limited.
  • Horticultural knowledge is an advantage but not essential—full training will be provided.
