Customer Service Advisor

Salary: £13.45 per hour + holiday pay (plus bonus)
Location: Altrincham - Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days WFH)
Contract: Ongoing temporary
Hours: Mon-Thurs 08:45-17:15, Fri 08:45-16:30

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Customer Service Advisor to join a busy customer support team in Altrincham on an ongoing temporary basis. This is a varied customer service role where you'll be responsible for managing customer queries and complaints primarily via email and a ticketing system, taking ownership of each case through to resolution.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing customer queries and complaints via email and a ticketing system
  • Taking ownership of cases from initial query through to resolution
  • Investigating issues and providing clear, professional responses to customers
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve more complex queries
  • Working with teams such as IT to investigate system or technical issues affecting customers
  • Keeping customers updated throughout the resolution process
  • Accurately recording case details and updates on internal systems
  • Managing a busy workload while ensuring queries are responded to within agreed timescales
  • Identifying recurring issues and escalating where appropriate

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience within customer service, customer support, or complaints
  • Strong written communication skills and confidence handling customer queries via email
  • Experience using a ticketing or case management system would be beneficial
  • Confident liaising with different teams and stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take ownership of queries
  • Organised and comfortable managing multiple cases at once
  • A professional and customer-focused approach
