Help customers feel heard, understood and confident about what happens next
When someone is dealing with financial difficulty, a clear and thoughtful conversation can make a real difference. Our Customer Service team supports existing MoneyPlus customers when they need answers, reassurance or help navigating a change in circumstances.
We are recruiting Customer Service Agents to join our Salford team. You will listen carefully, investigate the reason for contact and either resolve the enquiry or connect the customer with the right specialist support.
This is not a switchboard role, and you will not be expected to provide debt-solution advice outside your authority. It is a hands-on service role where empathy, curiosity, accurate records and reliable ownership matter.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting customers by telephone, email, live chat and other digital channels.
- Using open questions and account information to understand the customer's circumstances and the real reason for contact.
- Resolving routine service enquiries and taking ownership of follow-up actions.
- Recognising vulnerability, affordability concerns or dissatisfaction and adapting your approach appropriately.
- Explaining next steps in plain language and checking the customer's understanding.
- Deciding when Customer Service can help and when an annual review, adviser or specialist team is required.
- Keeping accurate, audit-ready records and providing clear handovers.
- Working towards service, quality and productivity measures while keeping fair customer outcomes central.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
