Location: Bridgwater

Job type: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

Salary: A GBP 30,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting a Customer Service and Despatch Coordinator to join a successful and growing manufacturing business based in Bridgwater.

This is a varied role combining customer service, order management, dispatch coordination and export administration, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the centre of the operation and keeping things moving smoothly from order through to delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Managing customer orders from initial receipt through to successful delivery
  • Keeping customers and account managers updated on order progress and delivery schedules
  • Coordinating despatches with planning, production, warehouse and logistics teams
  • Arranging UK and international deliveries and liaising with hauliers, freight forwarders and customers
  • Monitoring shipments and taking ownership of any delivery issues or delays
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate shipping, transport and export documentation
  • Supporting customs and export requirements, including commodity codes and incoterms
  • Obtaining transport quotations and helping to identify efficient and cost effective delivery solutions
  • Maintaining accurate customer, order and dispatch records
  • Supporting improvement to customer service, logistics and dispatch process

About You

We are looking for someone with previous experience in customer service, order processing, logistics, dispatch, supply chain or similar coordination based role.

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in busy environment
  • Confident communicator with customers, suppliers and internal teams
  • A confident user of Microsoft Office and business systems
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with different departments
