Role Description

The Customer Service and Logistics Officer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Loughton, with some flexibility for working from home. This role manages customer orders from initial inquiry through to final delivery, ensuring accurate order processing, timely communication, and high service levels.

The role also involves:

  • Handling customer queries
  • Preparing order and shipping documentation
  • Maintaining records in internal systems
  • Supporting compliance with safety and regulatory requirements

The officer will work closely with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth, efficient distribution of chemicals and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Management and Operations to support accurate stock reporting and efficient handling of goods.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Logistics and Supply Chain Management to coordinate shipments, optimise delivery routes, and maintain end-to-end flow of materials.
  • Candidates should possess strong Administration skills to manage documentation, data entry, and record-keeping with high attention to detail.
  • Relevant experience in customer service, order processing, or logistics coordination within distribution, manufacturing, or chemical sectors is beneficial.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and ERP or inventory systems; familiarity with logistics or transport management systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of safety, regulatory, or compliance requirements related to chemical handling and transport is beneficial.
  • Formal education in logistics, business administration, supply chain, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
