Wage

  • £15,600 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age
  • National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices

  • Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm.
  • 37 hours 30 minutes a week

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

As a Customer Service Level 2 Apprentice, your typical day involves providing excellent service to customers and supporting the smooth operation of the business. You'll:

  • Call Potential and existing clients
  • Keep up to date with an essential database
  • Use appropriate resources and technology to meet client needs
  • Gain a full understanding of our services to discuss with potential clients
  • Understand international markets to contribute to daily briefs and discuss with potential clients
  • Develop knowledge of relevant regulations and legislations
  • Provide excellent customer service via all communication platforms
  • Day to day use of the full Microsoft package
  • Provide clients with advice, guidance and support whilst managing their expectations
  • Understand the extended customer journey
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure tasks are managed accurately and efficiently
  • Research into customers behaviors including influencing factors such as loyalty, emotion, and culture

Your day as an apprentice will be varied and dynamic, offering valuable opportunities to develop customer service skills while contributing to the success of the business.

What you'll learn

  • Course contents
    • Use a range of questioning skills, including listening and responding in a way that builds rapport, determines customer needs and expectations and achieves positive engagement and delivery.
    • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills, along with summarising language during face-to-face communications; and/or
    • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate communication skills, along with reinforcement techniques (to confirm understanding) during non-facing customer interactions.
    • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use an appropriate ‘tone of voice’ in all communications, including written and digital, that reflect the organisation’s brand.
    • Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and your organisation.
    • Be able to organise yourself, prioritise your own workload/activity and work to meet deadlines.
    • Demonstrate patience and calmness.
    • Show you understand the customer’s point of view.
    • Use appropriate sign-posting or resolution to meet your customers needs and manage expectations.
    • Maintain informative communication during service recovery.

Training schedule

  • Remote delivery at the apprentice's place of work
  • Educator visits every 2 weeks

Requirements

Essential qualifications

  • GCSE in:
    • 5 x GCSE's (grade 4+)

All hours are spent in the office so being able to travel in is essential.
