This role is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis, initially for six months, with the potential to become permanent.

Wynnstay Group is seeking a professional and customer-focused Customer Services Team Member to join our Poultry team.

Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager, you will provide an efficient and reliable service to customers and colleagues, supporting the accurate processing of feed and fertiliser orders and helping to ensure deliveries are coordinated effectively.

This is a varied role involving customer communication, order processing, internal coordination and general administration. You will play an important part in maintaining strong customer relationships and supporting the ongoing success of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Responding professionally to customer and colleague enquiries, both over the telephone and face-to-face
  • Proactively contacting customers within an allocated territory to anticipate and secure future orders
  • Liaising with third-party suppliers to support the fulfilment of customer orders
  • Coordinating medicated feed prescriptions when required
  • Liaising with relevant colleagues regarding feed orders, product availability and pricing enquiries
  • Delivering a consistently high standard of customer service
  • Responding to and resolving routine customer queries promptly and professionally
  • Analysing information and producing reports or findings when required
  • Supporting marketing activities and helping to promote relevant products and sales campaigns
  • Maintaining effective communication between managers, sales representatives, customers and other internal departments
  • Completing project work as agreed with the Demand Planning Manager
  • Undertaking general administrative duties, including word processing, data entry, document management, photocopying and filing

Essential

  • Providing ongoing support to the wider Customer Services team, contributing to the continued development of the department and business

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a customer service, administration or order-processing role
  • Strong communication skills, with a professional and helpful telephone manner
  • A proactive approach to customer service and the ability to anticipate customer requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to process information accurately
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Confidence using computers and standard software packages
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • A practical and resourceful approach to resolving customer queries
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with customers, colleagues and external suppliers

Desirable

  • Previous experience within the agricultural, animal feed or manufacturing sector
  • Experience Processing Customer Orders Or Coordinating Deliveries
