We are absolutely thrilled to announce the upcoming grand opening of our brand-new store in Workington! We're looking for enthusiastic, motivated Customer Service Assistants to join our team! With up to 13 incredible opportunities available, this is your chance to be part of something truly special right from day one!

Our new store is based at Annie Pit Lane, Workington, CA14 2DB and there is public transport available from the town centre - 10 mins to store.

We have several contracts available to give you that work-life balance, these include,

  • 39 hrs
  • 32 hrs
  • 20 hrs
  • 16 hrs
  • 12 hrs
  • 8 hrs per week

to fit around school times, these are all permanent positions.

Shift Patterns:

Our store operates seven days a week, and we have a variety of shifts including weekends. Typical shift patterns are listed below, but there is flexibility.

  • Early: 7 am - 4 pm or 10 am - 2 pm
  • Mid: 10 am - 4 pm
  • Late: 4 pm - 8 pm

Please note that training/onboarding will be held locally and in our Carlisle store - travel to be arranged at a later date.

Please also note that we are holding a Welcome Day for all new colleagues on the 26th October which everyone will need to attend.

The Role

No two days are the same. As a Customer Service Assistant, you'll help keep the store running smoothly while delivering outstanding customer service. You'll be involved in a variety of tasks, including:

  • Welcoming and assisting customers
  • Keeping shelves fully stocked and looking great
  • Supporting with deliveries and replenishment
  • Ensuring trolleys and baskets are available
  • Helping maintain a clean, safe and organised store
  • Operating the tills and providing a friendly checkout experience

Whatever you're doing, your focus will always be on making every customer's visit easy, enjoyable and memorable.

About You

We're looking for friendly, reliable people who enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in delivering excellent customer service. You'll ideally have experience in a retail or customer-facing role, but just as importantly, you'll have:

  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Great communication skills
  • A willingness to learn
  • A flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment
