Job Description

CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE - Pharmacy

Polar Speed UPS, Site 1, Chartmoor Road, Leigton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 4WG

Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week - split shifts each week, 8am to 5pm and 9am to 6pm

Job Purpose And Key Responsibilities

  • Deal directly with customers over the phone and via email.
  • Updating and maintaining accurate patient records on the patient database.
  • Recognise and report adverse events in accordance with SOP and within specified timeline.
  • Respond promptly to customer queries, and raise complaints where appropriate.
  • Rotate around the treatment therapies to develop a full skill set in all functions of the pharmacy administration department.
  • Order processing and invoicing.
  • Communicate/Collaborate with all internal departments.
  • Additional tasks may be requested by the Seniors or Team Leaders, when appropriate to the skills and responsibilities of a Customer Service Associate.

Specialised Knowledge and Requirements

  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Excellent Organisational Skills, Show Initiative And Be Proactive.
  • Good working knowledge of IT packages, Word, Excel, Polar Track, Internet/Intranet, Masternaut.
  • Strong social and interpersonal skills when dealing with internal and external clients.
  • Must have a good eye for detail, be able to work well under pressure and be a quick learner.
  • Must be able to build effective working relationships with Senior Managers and their support staff.
  • Team player mentality with the ability to work on own initiative and influence others.
  • Must appreciate the need for retaining confidentiality.
