Company Description

Monek is a growing UK payments business dedicated to making payment processing simpler, safer and easier for businesses and their customers. We provide businesses with a range of payment solutions, from card terminals and online payments to our payment gateway, virtual terminals and merchant portal. As a full-stack payments provider, our teams work closely together across Customer Services, Sales, Onboarding, Operations, Finance and Technology to support our customers throughout their journey with Monek. We’re a collaborative, fast-moving business where people are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas and take ownership. As we continue to grow, we want our people to grow with us too – providing opportunities to learn, develop and build a career within the payments industry.

Role Description

We’re looking for a Customer Service Associate to join our team in Lichfield. You’ll be one of the first points of contact for Monek customers, helping new businesses as they move their card processing to us and supporting existing customers with their day-to-day questions and account enquiries. You’ll provide support by phone and email, investigate customer issues and work with colleagues across Monek to find the right resolution. Where something can’t be resolved immediately, you’ll take ownership of making sure it is properly logged, investigated and escalated to the right team. You’ll also make welcome calls to new customers, maintain accurate records within our systems and gradually build your understanding of Monek’s products, processes and the wider payments industry. You don’t need to come to us already knowing everything about payments. We’re looking for the right person with the right attitude – someone friendly, curious, organised and genuinely willing to learn. If that sounds like you, we’ll provide the training and day-to-day support you need to build your knowledge, confidence and responsibilities as you develop. This is a full-time role based primarily from our Lichfield office, with some home-working flexibility.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
