Job Opportunity: Customer Service Team
We have a rare opportunity to join our Customer Service Team on a fixed term contract for 12 months.
Role Overview
To take responsibility for ensuring customer needs are met and exceeded in a professional and efficient manner to ensure the effective operation of the Customer Services function.

The Job
Working in a fast-paced department with the responsibility for ensuring customer needs are met and exceeded in a professional and efficient manner to ensure the effective operation of the Customer Services function. Work closely with all colleagues and branches to ensure appropriate support to the wider business is provided and actively promote the products and services offered by the company.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Drive excellent service to customers (both internal and external) by understanding their needs, providing recommendations with integrity, and delivering first rate solutions, whilst taking account of costs and operating efficiency constraints.
- Consistently achieve personal targets and consistently assist team members to achieve team success.
- Actively establish positive working relationships with all team members and adopt a proactive approach to taking on additional responsibilities to support other colleagues and functions across the business.
- Interact with external suppliers with product enquiries and coordinate purchase and sale agreements in a professional manner.
- Professionally deal with telephone enquiries including receiving and processing orders, informing any relevant issues that arise promptly to field sales colleagues or any other sectors of the business as deemed necessary, and being proactive in contacting customers via telephone in line with customer prediction procedures.
- Act on feedback from customers to improve customer service and use customer problems as opportunity to improve and adapt by informing the complaints division and all relevant colleagues.
- Adhere to Company and Group policies and procedures, including but not limited to those relating to Safety, Health and Environmental.
- Ensure all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance, including but not limited to UFAS, FIAS & NOPS assurance schemes.

Skills, Experience And Qualities Required
Essential:
- Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a customer service environment.
- Ability to adopt a flexible approach to work and be able to adapt to unexpected demands.
- Demonstrate patience and empathy.
- Highly organised approach to work.
- Confident IT user, including a working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Be a practical problem solver.
Desirable:
- Experience of working within agricultural.
- Experience of D365 or other customer ordering programs.
