The Role

  • Work closely with the internal and external sales teams to maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Act as the point of contact for designated existing and potential customers.
  • Support Commercial and Finance teams, where required, to ensure compliance.
  • Provide excellent communication channels both internally and externally.
  • Support Business Development Managers in the delivery of new business.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers through proactive communication.
  • Raise new specifications in line with customer requirements for the commercial department and request samples when required.
  • Raise new specifications and process new artworks and tooling for both new and amended specifications.
  • Obtain purchase orders and invoice customers for all new tooling.
  • Process sales orders, amendments, and cancellations when required, in a timely and efficient manner, keeping customers fully informed of any changes.
  • Check orders in line with internal procedures.
  • Monitor customer forecasts to place stock orders, and regularly review stock levels in line with customer agreements and business KPIs.
  • Manage stock levels (where applicable) in line with both customer agreements and internal aged stock KPI’s.
  • Liaise with internal departments and customers to ensure customer delivery dates are met wherever possible.
  • Liaise with customers to collect pallets and top boards where applicable.
  • Use all functionality of the Cobis, OMP, and IT systems required for the role.
  • Provide effective holiday and absence cover for administrative tasks, including customer communication and placing orders.
