At Darlington Building Society, we believe in people helping people. We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Customer Service Consultant to join our Yarm branch. If you love building relationships, solving problems, and delivering outstanding service with a smile - we’d love to hear from you!
This is a 27.5 hour permanent position, working on a two-week rota:
- Monday to Friday
- Every other Saturday (with time off during the week where applicable)
Pro Rated Salary: £19,978.83
The Role
As the friendly face of our branch, you’ll be at the heart of our member experience. From everyday transactions to meaningful conversations about their financial goals, you’ll help create a welcoming, supportive environment where our customers feel valued.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering exceptional face-to-face customer service every day
- Supporting customers with transactions and account queries
- Promoting our products and services in a helpful, informative way
- Building strong, lasting relationships with our members
- Working as part of a close-knit, supportive team

Previous customer service or retail experience is great- but your attitude and enthusiasm matter most!
