Customer Service Coordinator – Maintenance
Location: Silsoe, Bedfordshire
Hours: Monday–Friday, alternating weekly between 8:00am–4:00pm and 9:30am–5:30pm
Contract: Permanent
Working arrangement: Office based initially, with one work-from-home day per week after the first six months
Target Maintenance is looking for an organised, customer-focused Coordinator to join our Maintenance team.
You’ll be a key link between our clients, residents, engineers and internal teams, helping property maintenance jobs run smoothly from the first request through to completion. This is a varied role: one moment you may be arranging access for an engineer, and the next you may be resolving a scheduling issue or updating a client on works in progress.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, follows things through and cares about getting the details right. Experience in property management or maintenance would be useful, but strong customer service and coordination skills matter just as much.
What you’ll be doing
- Act as a helpful first point of contact for clients by phone and email
- Set up and coordinate maintenance jobs, ensuring the details are accurate and the next action is clear
- Schedule engineers and subcontractors, including arranging appointments with residents and site contacts
- Make sure the right information, access arrangements, parts and equipment are in place for visits
- Keep clients informed about appointments, progress, delays and completed works
- Follow up outstanding information, quotations and jobs that need further action
- Work closely with our Operations, Quotes, Purchasing and Accounts teams to keep work moving
- Maintain accurate records and support the preparation of job reports and invoices
- Build positive relationships with clients and identify where we may be able to help with further work
- Suggest practical improvements that make our service clearer, quicker or easier for clients and colleagues

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
