The Role
Working closely with the Customer Service Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring customer enquiries, quotations, orders and deliveries are managed efficiently and accurately. You will act as a central point of contact for customers while supporting inventory management, logistics coordination and general departmental administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing customer enquiries and communications.
- Preparing quotations and processing customer orders.
- Processing invoices, credit notes and returns.
- Monitoring and managing backorders.
- Coordinating deliveries and resolving shipment issues.
- Supporting inventory and purchasing activities.
- Assisting with stock administration and stock accuracy.
- Preparing freight, customs and import documentation.
- Maintaining shipment and transport records.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and departmental processes.
- Providing support and cover for colleagues when required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous customer service experience.
- Experience processing customer orders.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- A proactive and customer-focused approach.

Desirable Experience
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Inventory management experience.
- Knowledge of logistics, distribution or purchasing processes.
- Experience using Sage and/or SAP.
