Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are delighted to be recruiting Customer Service / Heathrow Helper to join a well-established and successful client at Heathrow Airport.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a customer-focused team in a fast-paced and rewarding airport environment, offering flexible shift options and the opportunity for long-term employment.
As a Heathrow Helper, you will play an important role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for passengers travelling through Heathrow Airport. You will be part of a friendly and professional team, supporting passengers throughout their journey by providing excellent customer service, friendly assistance, information and guidance across the airport.
What’s on offer:
- Rate of Pay: £14.81
- Shift Pattern: 3+ shifts per week
- Shifts available: between 6 hour-8hour (shift will be confirmed)
- (Example of shifts: 05:00 - 14:00 & 13:30 - 23:00 Break cover : 11:00 - 17:00/12:00 - 18:00)
- Weekly Pay (every Friday).
- Full training provided.
- Temp to Perm (performance based).
- Induction date: As soon as the reference check for the BLUE ID is completed.

Key Duties:
- Managing the efficient flow of passengers and helping to reduce congestion throughout Heathrow terminals.
- Providing key compliance and security messaging to passengers when required.
- Liaising with Heathrow Security, Airlines, Ground Handlers and UK Border Force.
- Interacting and engaging positively with passengers from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Supporting passengers with wayfinding, directions and general airport guidance.
- Providing friendly, professional and welcoming customer service at all times.
- Helping passengers with questions and providing clear and accurate information.
- Creating a positive passenger experience and supporting people throughout their journey.
- Standing for the duration of the shift.
What we are looking for:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous customer service experience is desirable.
- A genuine passion for working with and helping people.
- A friendly, approachable and positive attitude.
- Confident in interacting with passengers and colleagues from different backgrounds.
- Professional, reliable and able to remain calm in a busy airport environment.
- A proactive approach and willingness to go the extra mile to support passengers.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Additional language skills are highly desirable.

Requirements:
- Ability to work in a team.
- Great work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be over 18.
- Previous airport and/or cleaning experience would be beneficial.
Please note: As this is an airport role, successful candidates must pass security checks in-line with CAA regulations. These checks include 5-year work and address history, DBS (must have no disqualifying criminal convictions), valid Right to Work.
