Customer Service Manager

Location: Stockport

Salary: Up to £40,000 Basic £48,000 OTE

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm / 8:00am-6:00pm 1 in 3/4 Saturday mornings

Richard Abson Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Customer Service Manager to join a busy and successful main car dealership in Stockport.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced automotive professional who is looking to take the next step in their career and lead a team of 6 Service Advisors within a high-performing aftersales department.

The Role

As Customer Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Service Advisor team, ensuring excellent customer service, strong departmental performance and a smooth customer journey from booking through to vehicle collection.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Leading, supporting and motivating a team of 6 Service Advisors
  • Managing the daily operation of the service department
  • Monitoring and improving customer satisfaction and retention
  • Ensuring departmental KPIs and financial targets are achieved
  • Coaching the team to maximise productivity, upselling and profitability
  • Handling escalated customer queries and complaints professionally
  • Working closely with the Workshop and Aftersales teams
  • Monitoring workload, bookings and vehicle flow
  • Ensuring processes and manufacturer standards are consistently followed
  • Driving a positive, customer-focused culture across the department

About You

We're looking for someone with previous experience within a main car dealership, ideally in a Service Advisor, Senior Service Advisor, Team Leader or Aftersales management position.

You'll Need To Be

  • An experienced automotive customer service professional
  • Confident managing and motivating a team
  • Commercially aware with a strong understanding of departmental KPIs
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
  • Organised and able to work effectively in a busy environment
  • Confident dealing with customer complaints and escalations
  • Driven to achieve targets and deliver excellent results
