About The Role

Based in Redditch, this full-time, permanent Customer Service & Operations Coordinator post sits with Pertemps Redditch Commercial, paying £26,000 to £32,000 dependent on experience. Working Monday through Friday, the successful applicant supports clients, handles orders, arranges shipments, and keeps daily activities running smoothly across the organisation. Duties include answering enquiries by phone and email, entering order details accurately, tracking deliveries, and resolving issues as they arise. The position calls for strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail, alongside the confidence to build relationships and take ownership of tasks. This position offers a varied workload where no two days are the same. You will be involved in supporting customers, processing orders, coordinating shipments, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the business. This role would suit an organised and proactive individual who enjoys building relationships and taking ownership of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing customer enquiries via telephone and email, providing a professional and efficient service.
  • Processing customer orders and ensuring information is entered accurately onto internal systems.
  • Producing invoices and supporting the order fulfilment process.
  • Keeping customers informed on lead times, deliveries, and order progress.
  • Arranging and coordinating UK and international shipments.
  • Preparing shipping documentation and liaising with freight providers.
  • Raising purchase orders and communicating with suppliers regarding stock availability and delivery schedules.
  • Supporting stock management activities and maintaining accurate records.
  • Handling product returns and warranty-related administration.
  • Updating CRM systems and maintaining customer records.
  • Producing operational reports and assisting with general administrative duties.
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive a seamless service.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer service, sales support, operations, or administrative role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident working with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A positive and flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently whilst also contributing as part of a team.
