Customer Service Advisor
Salary: £13.00 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:30
Location: Portsmouth
We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join a busy site in Portsmouth on a temporary basis. This is a customer-focused role where you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing regular updates, answering queries, and helping to ensure customers receive a smooth and professional service throughout the process. The role would suit someone who enjoys dealing with people, is confident communicating face-to-face and over the phone, and is comfortable working in a busy environment where there are multiple priorities to manage.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the process
- Deal with customers face-to-face, over the phone, and via email
- Provide regular updates and keep customers informed of progress
- Answer customer queries and resolve concerns professionally
- Manage customer expectations around timescales and appointments
- Book jobs and appointments into the relevant systems
- Follow up and chase outstanding information where required
- Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure everything runs smoothly
- Arrange vehicle collections and deliveries where required
- Coordinate courtesy vehicles for customers when necessary
- Assist with vehicle handovers and ensure customers receive a professional service
- Escalate any issues or complaints appropriately

About You
We are looking for someone with strong customer service and communication skills who is confident dealing with customers face-to-face. You will ideally have experience in a customer-facing environment, such as customer service, reception, administration, automotive, hospitality, retail, or a similar role. You should be:

Temporary Role
This is a temporary position, with an immediate start preferred. The assignment is expected to run until approximately the end of September, although the exact duration will depend on business requirements.
