Trade customers benefit from next-day delivery across the South East, extended customer service hours, multiple ordering channels, and well-stocked local trade counters with convenient parking and loading. Role Description

The Customer Service Professional is a full-time hybrid role based in Chichester, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the week. This role focuses on supporting trade customers via phone, email, online channels, and in-person at the trade counter, ensuring accurate order processing, product information, and delivery coordination. The Customer Service Professional contributes directly to customer satisfaction and retention by offering friendly, efficient, and reliable support.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Experience, with the ability to build rapport and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Experience in Customer Support and Customer Satisfaction, with a focus on resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Excellent Phone Etiquette and communication skills, both verbal and written, suitable for handling trade customer inquiries across multiple channels.
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail in order processing, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Comfort using CRM systems, order management software, and online communication tools; proficiency with basic office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced trade environment, collaborating with internal teams such as sales, warehouse, and logistics.
  • Previous experience in building products, construction supply, or a similar trade/wholesale environment is beneficial but not required.
  • Willingness to work on-site at the Chichester depot as part of a hybrid arrangement and to adapt to changing customer and business needs.
