A client of ours in the Bury St Edmunds area are recruiting a Temporary Customer Service Representative to join their team ASAP. This is a full-time temporary position working Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am - 12.30pm, paying a negotiable salary depending on experience.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Your key duties in this Customer Service Representative role will include but are not limited to:

  • Processing customer enquiries, quotations and orders accurately
  • Entering and managing customer orders using an ERP system
  • Liaising with Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Shipping teams to meet customer requirements
  • Providing customers with updates on order status, delivery schedules and tracking information
  • Preparing and issuing customer documentation as required
  • Delivering excellent customer service via email and telephone
  • Maintaining accurate records with a high level of attention to detail
  • Supporting quotation follow-ups and assisting with customer returns where required

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:

  • Previous customer service, order processing or administration experience within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial or supply chain environment
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional telephone manner
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and experience using ERP/MRP systems
  • Ability to manage multiple enquiries and inboxes while working effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Experience working with internal departments to coordinate orders and customer requirements would be advantageous
