Role Description

The Customer Service Representative is a full-time hybrid role, based in Alresford with some flexibility to work from home. In this position, the representative responds to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online channels, providing clear information about pet insurance policies, cover options, and claims processes. Day-to-day tasks include handling new policy requests, processing changes, resolving complaints or concerns, and ensuring that customer records are accurate and up to date. The role also involves guiding customers through claims steps, maintaining high standards of service and regulatory compliance, and collaborating with colleagues to improve customer experience and internal processes. The representative is expected to manage workload effectively, meet service-level targets, and represent Lifetime Pet Cover Limited in a professional, empathetic manner.

  • Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Service, Customer Support, and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Experience enhancing Customer Experience, ideally in an insurance, financial services, or related environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as a Customer Service Representative in a fast-paced setting, handling multiple inquiries with accuracy.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills, with active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfort using CRM systems, call-handling tools, and standard office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, databases).
  • Ability to commute to Alresford regularly and work in a hybrid pattern that blends office and home-based work.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and a positive, resilient approach when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Previous experience in customer service or contact center roles is preferred; knowledge of pet insurance or general insurance is an advantage.
