Customer Service Representative – Lantor & Euroresins

Location

Croydon (Head Office – Fully Office Based)

Hours

Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:30

Salary

£26,000 – £28,000 per annum + Future Commission Opportunities

The Opportunity

Cathay Investments is a diverse and growing global group. As we expand our internal support structures, we are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our Group Head Office in Croydon.

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be working closely with the sales team, as well as be a vital point of contact for our UK commercial operations, representing two of our leading brands: Lantor (cable and composite products) and Euroresins (distribution for the composite industry). You will support our day-to-day customer requests, handle order processing, and maintain strong relationships with our valued client base.

Your Role as Customer Service Representative

Working within our professional 20-person head office alongside our wider commercial and finance teams, you will ensure our customers receive prompt, helpful, and accurate service every day.

Key Responsibilities as a Customer Service Representative:

  • Order Processing: Take full ownership of incoming customer orders via phone and email, entering them accurately into Sage 200.
  • Customer Care: Answer incoming calls and emails, providing updates on order status, lead times, and general inquiries with a friendly, professional approach.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team by generating routine quotes and standard price confirmations for existing customers.
  • Shipping Admin: Raise basic dispatch and shipping paperwork within the system to ensure smooth delivery schedules.
  • Issue Resolution: Act as a helpful problem solver, addressing delivery delays or minor client account queries promptly and efficiently.

About You

  • Communication Skills: You have excellent written and spoken English, a confident telephone manner, and genuine empathy for the customer.
  • Detail-Oriented: You take pride in accuracy, especially when entering data, managing orders, and keeping system records up to date.
  • System Savvy: Proficiency in Sage 200 is a strong advantage, along with solid experience using standard office software (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Eager to Learn: No background in composites or cables is needed—we offer complete product training for the right candidate.
  • Team Player: Reliable, approachable, and comfortable working in a supportive head-office environment.
