About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in the role of Product Development Specialist. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation and enhancement of our product lines, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including design, sourcing, and marketing to develop innovative products that align with market trends and customer preferences. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of textiles and home décor trends. As a key member of our product development team, you will play a vital role in driving the company's growth and maintaining its reputation for excellence in the industry.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Product Development, or a related field. Prior experience in product development within the home textiles or apparel industry is preferred, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects from concept to completion. Strong knowledge of fabric types, sourcing, and manufacturing processes is essential. Excellent analytical skills, creativity, and an eye for detail are crucial for success in this role. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, or other relevant tools is required. The candidate should also demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine product concepts in line with market trends, customer preferences, and company objectives.
- Collaborate with the design team to create detailed specifications, technical drawings, and prototypes.
- Conduct research on new fabrics, materials, and manufacturing techniques to ensure product innovation and competitiveness.
- Liaise with sourcing and manufacturing teams to ensure timely and cost-effective production processes.
- Monitor product development stages, conduct quality checks, and make adjustments as necessary to meet quality standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of product specifications, testing results, and development timelines.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance product offerings.
- Support the marketing team with product knowledge and insights to aid in promotional activities.
- Ensure all products comply with safety standards and environmental regulations.
