About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic professional to join EE as a Senior Network Operations Specialist. This role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance, security, and reliability of our telecommunications network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring network systems, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and implementing proactive measures to prevent service disruptions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance network capabilities and support the company's strategic objectives. The Senior Network Operations Specialist will play a key role in maintaining high standards of service quality and operational excellence, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and business growth.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in network operations or a similar role within the telecommunications industry is required. Strong technical knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software is essential. Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Effective communication skills and the capability to collaborate with diverse teams are also critical for success in this role. Prior experience with network security, cloud solutions, and automation tools will be considered a plus.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze the performance of EE's telecommunications network to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues promptly, minimizing impact on customers and business operations.
- Implement proactive measures such as capacity planning and network optimization to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to design, deploy, and upgrade network infrastructure and services.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions to support ongoing maintenance and audits.
- Participate in the development and enforcement of network security policies to safeguard against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve network performance and security.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Assist in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies related to network infrastructure.
- Coordinate with vendors and external partners to ensure timely procurement and deployment of network equipment and services.
