Sales Executive
We are recruiting for a proactive and driven Sales Executive for one of our leading parts and services clients based in North Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with around 1–2 years’ sales experience who enjoys building relationships, developing new business and identifying opportunities to increase sales.
Working closely with customers and the Service Department, you will play an important role in growing aftermarket sales across parts, servicing and repairs. You will manage existing customer relationships while also proactively identifying new opportunities and developing new accounts.
The Role
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers through regular communication, visits and excellent customer service.
- Proactively identify sales opportunities and develop new customer relationships.
- Meet sales targets and identify ways to grow revenue from existing customers.
- Promote a range of aftermarket products and services, including maintenance plans, warranties, service agreements, inspections and repairs.
- Work closely with the Service Department to understand customer requirements and ensure queries and issues are resolved quickly.
- Carry out visual machine inspections and support Expert Check activities with customers and the Service Department.
- Understand customers’ equipment and requirements and recommend appropriate parts, attachments, accessories and upgrade options.
- Review customer purchasing activity and CRM information to identify further opportunities.
- Proactively research the market and identify opportunities to win new business, including competitor accounts.
- Support sales campaigns, promotions and marketing activity, providing feedback on customer response and opportunities.
- Keep up to date with products, services and industry developments to provide customers with knowledgeable and valuable advice.

Skills & Knowledge
- Around 1–2 years' experience in a sales, account management or customer-facing commercial role.
- A genuine interest in developing a career in sales and growing existing and new business.
- A proactive approach to prospecting, generating leads and identifying opportunities.
- The confidence to build strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Good communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- A positive, professional and enthusiastic approach.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Basic analytical skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly as part of the role.
