Why this role?

At Tesco Insurance and Money Services, we support customers through some of life's most challenging moments. From financial difficulties to bereavement, our Customer Care Team provides specialist support when customers need us most.

As a Customer Service Team Leader, you'll lead a team of approximately 12-14 colleagues who are dedicated to delivering empathetic, professional, and customer-focused service to vulnerable customers. You'll play a key role in creating an environment where colleagues feel supported, engaged, and empowered to provide the highest standards of care.

Working closely with operational leaders and support teams, you'll help drive service excellence, champion colleague development, and identify opportunities to continuously improve the customer experience. You'll balance customer outcomes, colleague performance, and operational effectiveness to ensure the team consistently delivers against business objectives.

This is an opportunity to develop your leadership capability while making a meaningful difference to both customers and colleagues every day.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of customer service colleagues, creating an environment where they can perform at their best and achieve their full potential.
  • Delivering exceptional customer outcomes by ensuring service standards, quality expectations and operational targets are consistently achieved.
  • Building a positive, high-performing team culture that encourages engagement, collaboration and continuous development.
  • Using performance data, customer feedback and operational insight to identify opportunities to improve colleague and customer experiences.
  • Ensuring colleagues follow policies, processes and regulatory requirements while maintaining a strong focus on quality and risk management.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer service, simplify processes and improve team effectiveness.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
