An exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to join our team.
- We are an established engineering distributor supplying a wide range of cutting tools and related engineering products to customers across the manufacturing sector.
- We are looking for an Internal Sales Engineer to join our Leeds team. This is a varied, customer-focused role combining technical engineering knowledge with sales and customer service.
The Role
- You will be based at our Head Office based in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
- Working closely with our customers, suppliers, internal and external sales team, you will be responsible for:
- Managing and developing relationships with existing customers
- Preparing quotations for cutting tools and related products
- Processing and following up customer orders
- Liaising with leading engineering tooling manufacturers and suppliers
- Providing customers with technical product advice and helping them select the right tooling for their applications
- Identifying opportunities to develop existing customer accounts
- Dealing with customer enquiries by telephone and email
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure customers receive a high level of service

About You
We're looking for someone with a genuine engineering background and a good understanding of machining and cutting tools.
You may currently be working in:
- Engineering sales
- Internal technical sales
- Cutting tool sales
- CNC machining
- Manufacturing engineering
- Applications engineering
- Tooling distribution
You'll need to be confident speaking with engineers, machinists, purchasing teams and customers, and be able to understand their requirements and recommend practical tooling solutions.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Technically minded
- Customer-focused
- Commercially aware
- Well organised and able to manage multiple enquiries
- Confident communicating by telephone and email
- Comfortable working with suppliers and customers
- Ideally experienced with cutting tools, inserts and/or CNC machining
Previous experience within the engineering tooling industry would be a significant advantage, but we would also consider someone with a strong machining/engineering background who is looking to move into a technical sales role.
