Job Function

The Customer Service & Transport Administrator will act as the key link between TXO's services operational teams, customers and supply chain, processing and tracking customer orders, coordinating deliveries and collections, and ensuring a high level of customer service.

The role will also support transport operations, third-party couriers, invoicing, SLA and statistical reporting, customer complaints, stock records and general administration, with occasional out-of-hours standby and low-level picking as required.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, organised and results-driven, with excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills, the ability to manage competing priorities independently and a strong team-oriented approach.

Specific Responsibilities

The following outlines the primary areas of responsibility.

  • Receive, process and track customer orders via email, telephone and company IT systems.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, including stock holdings, orders and service activity.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for supply chain and maintenance customers, ensuring queries and complaints are logged and resolved promptly.
  • Support monthly maintenance invoicing and produce accurate SLA, statistical and operational reports.
  • Assist with transport operations, including daily transport jobs, delivery and collection queries and third-party courier management.
  • Liaise with the Service Delivery Team and Transport Manager to ensure effective customer communication and service delivery.
  • Undertake low-level picking and other operational support activities as required.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours home-working standby rota, processing customer orders when required.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer satisfaction while complying with company procedures, HSE requirements and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Undertake other duties and responsibilities as reasonably requested by management.
