FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for a Customer Side Field Technician to cover Basingstoke, South East England.
You will be responsible for identifying and resolving water leaks on the customer’s side of the property boundary.
This involves inspecting commercial and customer properties, conducting leak detection surveys, and advising customers on the best course of action to repair leaks and reduce water wastage.

Customer Side Field Technician Responsibilities
- Attend appointments and conduct on-site inspections of residential and commercial properties to assess water leakage and wastage issues
- Advise customers on the nature of leaks, potential causes, and recommended repair solutions
- Analyse water usage data to identify potential leaks and high water consumption patterns
- Maintain accurate records of all leak detection activities, including customer information, leak locations, and repair recommendations
- Verify meter readings

Customer Side Field Technician Requirements
- Full UK driving license required
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems would be an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
