Job Description
What you can expect
We are recruiting for a Customer Service Apprentice. The Customer Service Apprentice supports the customer service team in delivering a high standard of care to all clients. This role provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced logistics environment, helping the apprentice develop strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Working alongside experienced colleagues, the apprentice will learn how to respond to customer needs, support daily operations, and contribute to positive customer relationships.

What you bring
Main duties:
- Maintain a polite, positive, and professional attitude when dealing with customers.
- Assist in responding to customer enquiries through phone, email, and online systems.
- Support the team in ensuring customers receive timely updates on their shipments.
- Help acknowledge and record customer feedback or complaints for senior staff to review.
- Learn how to process customer orders and input data accurately into internal systems.
- Assist with arranging collections or deliveries under supervision.
- Support the team in keeping customer portals and internal records up to date.
- Help gather PODs and other documentation required by clients.
- Develop an understanding of Rhenus products, services, and basic logistics processes.
- Gain introductory knowledge of customs requirements, documentation, and broker processes.
- Shadow experienced team members to learn how to handle customer accounts and enquiries.
- Participate in training to build confidence in problem-solving and communication.
- Work closely with colleagues across departments to support smooth operations.
- Share any issues, delays, or unusual customer requests with supervisors promptly.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and assist others when tasks are complete.
