We are looking for an experienced freight pricing or customer solutions professional to lead a Customer Solutions and quotations team within a specialist aerospace logistics business.

This is a senior commercial role centred on managing complex quotations, RFQs, tenders, pricing and team performance. It also includes developing and converting new business opportunities, implementing new customers and managing the commercial performance of existing accounts.

The role

  • Lead, support and develop the Customer Solutions and quotations team
  • Oversee quotation activity and provide guidance on complex customer and supplier enquiries
  • Qualify and manage RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and major quotation projects
  • Develop pricing proposals, transition plans and supporting tender documentation
  • Work with operational teams and overseas offices to obtain competitive buying rates
  • Protect appropriate margins across quotations and commercial proposals
  • Identify and pursue new and existing aerospace customers
  • Develop a sales pipeline and convert suitable opportunities into new business
  • Coordinate the successful implementation and onboarding of new customers
  • Manage existing customer relationships, account plans, KPIs and commercial performance
  • Negotiate contractual rate increases and additional pricing requirements
  • Deliver customer presentations and quarterly business reviews
  • Monitor market trends, customer activity and competitor developments

What we are looking for

  • Experience managing a pricing, quotations, commercial or customer solutions function within freight forwarding or logistics
  • Previous responsibility for leading and developing a team
  • Experience managing complex quotations, tenders, RFQs and commercial pricing proposals
  • Strong knowledge of freight buying rates, selling rates, margins and commercial negotiations
  • Customer facing sales or business development experience, including developing and converting opportunities
  • Experience implementing and managing significant customer accounts
  • Aerospace or aviation logistics experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical, organisational and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of CargoWise and CRM systems
  • Dangerous goods knowledge or compliance
  • A commercially driven approach with the ability to balance competitive pricing, profitability and customer requirements
