Job Description

You’ll play a key role in supporting ADB's customers and engineers, working closely with the wider team and ensuring a high standard of service is delivered at all times.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Handle incoming calls and emails professionally
  • Log service requests, faults and maintenance visits accurately
  • Schedule and coordinate engineer appointments
  • Keep customer records and internal systems up to date
  • Provide basic advice on products and services
  • Liaise with engineers, suppliers and internal teams
  • Support general admin and customer service tasks
  • Manage administrative tasks and sales documentation
  • Maintain and update customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Coordinate communication between clients and internal teams
  • Organise and efficiently manage multiple diaries
  • Organise sales meetings and follow-up activities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients

Entry Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Customer service orientation with a professional attitude

Will need to pass a DBS Check with a clean record.

Training to be Provided

This is where you learn how to solve problems and support customers for real.

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in developing real workplace skills within the fire and security industry.

You’ll complete a Level 3 Customer Service Specialist apprenticeship, with training delivered remotely, twice a month - no travel, just focused learning that fits around your job.

What you’ll do as part of the programme:

  • Learn how real businesses operate day to day
  • Build practical administrative, organisational and communication skills
  • Work on tasks and projects linked to your role
  • Build evidence from your job to support your learning
  • Take part in tutor-led sessions via Microsoft Teams

Other important info:

  • Wage: Under 19, or 1st year apprentice (ANY age) £8p/h, after 12 months this then increases to £10.85. 21y/o+ would be £12.71 p/h (in house pay scale and career pathway implemented based on an in-house CV agreed upon with line manager.
  • Working hours are generally Monday-Friday | 8am-5pm
  • Office Based Role (UK) - Permanent Full-Time Contract

Additional Pay Benefits:

  • On Call Rota (Telephones Only, done as remote work) - £1,300 per annum on average
  • Team Target - Commission Based
