Customer Success Manager – Automotive

Remote – UK
Highly Competitive Basic Salary + Bonus + 25 Days Holiday + Pension

The Company

We're working with a well-established international business operating at the heart of the automotive industry.

The company works with some of the largest and most recognisable organisations across the sector, helping customers make better commercial decisions through the information and services it provides.

As the business continues to develop its customer offering, we're looking for an experienced German Speaking Customer Success Manager to take responsibility for a number of important European customer relationships.

The Role

You'll take ownership of a portfolio of established automotive customers and become one of their key contacts within the business.

Your job is to understand each customer's organisation, what matters to them commercially and how you can ensure they continue to get the best from the relationship.

You'll spend your time speaking with customers, building relationships across their businesses, running regular meetings and making sure any questions, requirements or challenges are dealt with effectively.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Importantly, you'll be expected to develop relationships beyond the immediate day-to-day contacts. You'll understand who the key decision-makers are, what is happening within their organisation and where there may be opportunities to strengthen the relationship further.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing a portfolio of important automotive customers.
  • Building strong relationships with customers in both German and English.
  • Developing relationships with senior contacts and decision-makers.
  • Understanding customers' commercial priorities and how these change over time.
  • Running regular customer meetings and presentations.
  • Ensuring customers are getting the support and information they need.
  • Taking ownership when customers have questions, challenges or changing requirements.
  • Keeping close to customers throughout the lifetime of the relationship.
  • Supporting contract renewals and protecting existing business.
  • Meeting customers face-to-face periodically, typically around once per quarter.

You'll need to be equally comfortable developing relationships with day-to-day contacts and holding commercially focused conversations with senior decision-makers.

Most importantly, you'll need to be able to build genuine credibility with customers rather than simply manage them from a distance.

You'll ideally have:

  • Fluent German and English language skills – essential.
  • 5+ years' experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Client Management or a similar customer-facing position.
  • Experience working with large or complex automotive customers.
  • The confidence to communicate with senior customer stakeholders.
  • Experience working with information, technology, software or other business services would be advantageous.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • A commercial mindset and the ability to recognise opportunities within existing customer relationships.
  • The ability to work autonomously within a remote environment.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally to meet customers on site across Europe.
