Customer Success & Support Executive

Savage&Co | Newcastle (NE4) | £23,000–£27,000 + Bonuses

About Savage&Co

Savage&Co is an independent, family-run business supplying card payment solutions and EPOS systems to hundreds of small to medium-sized businesses across the Northeast and beyond. With over 7 years of experience in the industry, we work with businesses across hospitality, retail, beauty and other sectors, including restaurants, cafés, bars, nightclubs, hairdressers, beauty salons and more. We’re a growing local business, and we’re looking for someone to join our team and play an important role in supporting our customers.

The Role

We’re looking for a Customer Success & Support Executive to help our customers get the most out of their payment and EPOS systems. You’ll be based at our office on the riverside (NE4), with visits to client sites when required. Your role will involve a mix of day-to-day technical support, customer service, system training and problem-solving.

You’ll be one of the main points of contact for our customers, helping them with questions, resolving issues and making sure they’re confident using their systems.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable with technology and likes figuring things out. You’ll have the opportunity to learn our systems in depth, work closely with the wider team and develop your role as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day technical support to customers.
  • Responding to customer queries and helping resolve issues.
  • Visiting client sites to provide in-person support and training when required.
  • Helping customers get the most out of their EPOS and payment systems.
  • Training customer employees on new features and system functionality.
  • Supporting customers with general system queries and troubleshooting.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and becoming a reliable point of contact.
  • Working with the wider team to identify and resolve technical issues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is approachable, practical and keen to learn. You don’t need to know everything about EPOS or payment systems already, but you should be comfortable with technology and confident working with customers. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, has an interest in technology and wants to build a career in a growing business. You’ll need to be comfortable dealing with different customers, working through problems and learning as you go. As we’re a small team, being able to take initiative, manage your time and work independently is important. There’s scope to take on more responsibility as you become more experienced, and we’d like someone who is interested in building a long-term role with us.

Essential requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Based in Newcastle or the surrounding areas, with the ability to travel to our NE4 office.
  • Confident communicating with customers in person.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a practical approach to resolving issues.
  • Comfortable learning new technology and software.
  • Able to work independently and manage your own workload within a small team.
  • Good time management, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple customers.
