About Zero Deposit
Renting a new home can be stressful and expensive. At Zero Deposit, we’re changing that.
We give tenants an alternative to expensive security deposits, allowing them to spend their money on the things they love.
That’s why we’re on a mission to revolutionise renting by replacing the outdated deposit system with a smarter, more human solution. We’re building a world where moving home feels empowering, not daunting and where outstanding customer experiences redefine what people expect from financial services.
How we work
We live by a gold-standard mindset, because we don’t just want to be good; we want to be the best customer service operation there is.
We do this through:
- Efficient processes that make things simple for customers.
- Clear communication that builds trust and removes complexity.
- Excellent conversations that leave a lasting impression of fairness and care.
We are people-first and technology-powered, using the right tools to enable real human connection. We believe resilience, empathy, and ownership are non-negotiable, because every customer interaction is an opportunity to prove that renting can be done differently.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you’ll do
As an Operations Executive, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers, guiding them through what can often be a stressful time and turning it into an experience they’ll remember for the right reasons.
You’ll:
- Speak with tenants, landlords and agents by phone and email to resolve claims fairly and efficiently.
- Use your training and judgement to review documents (like tenancy agreements) and make informed decisions.
- Take ownership of your workload, ensuring that every interaction meets our gold-standard for communication and fairness.
- Collaborate closely with our Claims Handlers and Support Team to ensure customers get quick, accurate resolutions.
- Contribute to administrative processes that keep our operations running smoothly and consistently.
This is not a role for someone who wants “easy.” It’s for someone who finds energy in solving problems, who takes pride in their work, and who wants to help build something that changes an industry.
Who you are
You’ll thrive here if you’re:
- Customer-focused and driven to deliver excellence every time.
- Resilient under pressure and able to maintain standards consistently.
- A strong communicator, clear, empathetic and confident on the phone.
- Analytical and curious. Someone who reads, learns and improves continuously.
- Motivated by performance, fairness and impact, not just by process.
