Position: Customer Support Engineer
Location: Dyce, Aberdeen
Reports To: Customer Support Manager / Contract Focal Point

Pinnacle Re-Tec is a privately owned pump service company specialising in reverse engineering, manufacturing, and rotating equipment solutions. Headquartered in Consett, County Durham, our facility serves as the Centre of Excellence for rotating equipment repairs.
Our Dyce, Aberdeen Service Centre provides high-quality repair and maintenance services to the North Sea Oil & Gas industry. Following the award of a major service contract supporting nine offshore assets for a leading North Sea Operator, Pinnacle Re-Tec is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Customer Support Engineer to join our dynamic Aberdeen team.

Position Summary
The Customer Support Engineer plays a key role in the successful delivery of pump and rotating equipment service projects. This position is responsible for coordinating all technical and commercial aspects of repair activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Working closely with the Contract Focal Point, internal teams, and the customer, the successful candidate will manage project execution, provide technical guidance, and maintain clear communication across all stakeholders. Reporting to the Contract Focal Point, the Customer Support Engineer role combines hands-on engineering with customer relationship and contract management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Contract Focal Point in achieving all contract KPIs and service level requirements as detailed below.
- Manage work-in-progress (WIP) reports for all repairs across the client’s nine offshore assets.
- Develop, issue, and maintain project plans, quotations, and technical documentation.
- Monitor project progress, cost control, and scope variations to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Coordinate activities between the workshop, field service, and customer teams to ensure efficient execution of repairs and service work.
- Compile, review, and distribute technical inspection and progress reports to the customer.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project and equipment data within the company ERP system.
- Foster strong communication and relationships with the client’s engineering and operations personnel.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the service contract to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications And Experience
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in rotating equipment service or maintenance—preferably pumps and gearboxes.
- Strong technical understanding of centrifugal pump types, including water injection, seawater lift, and firewater pumps.
- Proven project coordination or project management experience within an industrial or oil & gas environment.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive and adaptable approach, with a strong focus on teamwork and customer service.
- Competent in the use of ERP or project tracking systems (desirable).

Working Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00
- Friday: 07:30 – 12:30
