Customer Support Engineer
Cambridge | Hybrid (3 days on site)
£30k - £40k
Are you technically curious with a background in RF or electronics, and enjoy breaking down complex issues? Do you like diagnosing issues, digging into hardware and software, and seeing a problem through to resolution?
We're supporting an innovative technology company operating in the defence, government, and telecom sectors, currently going through a period of strong growth. They're looking for a technically sound Customer Support Engineer to join their Cambridge team, providing first-line support across a product line that spans specialist hardware and software.

What you'll be doing:
- Providing first-line technical support to customers on an industry-leading hardware/software product line, covering signal and sensor technology, analysis tooling, and network diagnostics.
- Explaining complex technical issues and solutions clearly to customers.
- Diagnosing and resolving issues first-hand, escalating where necessary.
- Reviewing and developing technical documentation.
- Working closely with engineering teams to feed back on recurring or complex issues.
What we're looking for:
- Solid grounding in RF fundamentals.
- A curious mindset with a passion for technology (this could be shown through employment or hobbies)
- Basic exposure to Linux and networking.
- Comfortable working hands-on with both hardware and software.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail for non-technical audiences.
- Broader RF specialisms (e.g., signal-location techniques, wider analysis experience). Desirable
- Prior support or helpdesk experience. Desirable
