Job Description

As the Customer Support Lead at Borderless, you will own the support function end-to-end, managing a team of five while reporting directly to the co-founders. You will navigate the intersection of compliance, operations, and technology, providing consultative support to HR leaders on high-stakes immigration cases while building scalable processes from the ground up.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and mentor a team of five direct reports, including permanent staff and contractors, while maintaining a hands-on approach to complex cases.
  • Design and implement end-to-end support operations, selecting the right tooling and creating robust processes to ensure quality as the company scales.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, and compliance teams to ensure regulatory details are accurately reflected in the customer experience.

The ideal candidate

  • Has proven experience leading support or customer-facing functions in both structured scale-ups and ambiguous, early-stage startup environments.
  • Is a systems thinker capable of reasoning across complex workflows involving regulatory compliance, technology, and human operations.
  • Brings a customer-first mindset with preferred exposure to the immigration or global employment space (e.g., Deel, Oyster, or Remote).
