Purpose of the Role

As a Customer Support Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring:

  • Efficient order processing
  • Effective inventory management
  • Smooth coordination between customers, sales teams, and manufacturing sites
  • An exceptional customer experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional customer support via email, telephone, customer portals, and other channels
  • Process customer orders, forecasts, and purchase orders using the company’s Order Management and ERP systems
  • Manage consigned inventory and collaborate with customers on inventory consumption forecasts
  • Coordinate with manufacturing sites in Switzerland and Malaysia to place, monitor, and expedite customer orders
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Product Management, and internal teams to resolve customer inquiries and operational issues
  • Proactively communicate order delays, manage backorders, and ensure timely delivery updates
  • Process RMAs, service quotations, and customer returns, maintaining accurate documentation
  • Support Accounts Receivable and Sales teams in resolving purchase order and payment-related issues

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (required); Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in customer support, order management, or operational roles
  • Language: Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office suite proficiency
    • Experience with ERP systems (production scheduling is a plus)
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
    • Ability to multitask and work independently
