Customer Team Leader

Location: 2 Shore Street, Brodick, KA27 8AG

Pay: £14.48 per hour

Contract: 39 hours per week + regular overtime | Permanent | Full-time

Working Pattern: A mix of opening, closing, and mid-day shifts, including:

  • At least 2 evening shifts (Friday after 6pm)
  • At least 1 weekend shift (any shift on Saturday or Sunday) Flexible availability across the week—discuss your schedule at interview.

About the Role

Join the Customer Team Leader position and take your next step in managing your own store. As a Customer Team Leader, you’ll lead a small team, providing essential services to your community.

In this role, you could:

  • Oversee a fast-paced Co-op store (including any post office, bakery, or home delivery support).
  • Be the face of service for your local community.

Responsibilities

As a Customer Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Own and manage day-to-day store operations by leading your team during shifts.
  • Motivate and coach colleagues to deliver exceptional service and operational efficiency.
  • Actively engage on the shop floor and till, setting expectations for a team of Customer Team Members.
  • Contribute to store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
  • Lead community engagement initiatives to expand Co-op membership.

Requirements

You’ll bring:

  • A passion for people and leadership.
  • Ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
  • Skills in retail, merchandising, or team management (no prior experience necessary?).
