Position Overview
This is more than a job. It's a chance to build, grow, and make a real impact! Join our team as our new Service Desk Technician. You will be assisting customers globally and providing critical operational services on a 24x7x365 basis, as a first line service desk technician.
📍 Location: Yate, Bristol
🏢 Hybrid: Minimum of 2 days in the office per week
Responsibilities
- Working the Service Desk queues, ensuring work is completed or scheduled as appropriate;
- Ensuring services are operational in-line with customer contractual SLA's;
- Identifying service incidents and escalating as necessary to the relevant teams/ subject matter experts;
- Evaluating processes and methods of working to improve efficiency;
- Experience in service line(s) operational procedures, including payment interfaces and platforms;
- Ensuring service line documented operational procedures and associated controls/ run sheets are up-to-date and accurate;
- Performing regular patching activities for Linux and Tomcat are performed on time and accurately;
- Able to take on tasks that are required of the Operations Team;

Qualifications
- Good people and communication skills;
- Quick learner with the ability to process information and switch between new domains as required;
- Can work in a cross-functional/BU/Country manner and engage with key stakeholders/teams as required;
- Good technical skills, including management of Linux and Windows operating systems and Oracle databases;
- Developing knowledge and experience of Cloud technologies (specifically AWS);
- Ability to prioritize and organize their own workload;
- Fluency in English, nice to have French language skills;
