Customs Compliance Admin - Essex - Up to £45,000

Shift: Mon - Fri, 3 days in office, 2 days WFH, 11am-8pm

We're excited to be partnering with a growing global aviation and aerospace business that supplies aircraft components to customers across multiple international markets. As the business continues to expand its global footprint, they are looking to strengthen their Customs Compliance function with the appointment of a Customs Compliance Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for a customs professional looking to take ownership of end-to-end customs compliance activities within a fast-paced international environment. Working closely with logistics, warehouse, finance and external customs brokers, you'll play a key role in ensuring imports and exports remain compliant, efficient and cost-effective across multiple regions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage customs compliance activities across multiple regions, ensuring accurate tariff classification, customs processes and supporting documentation are maintained
  • Determine and apply the correct commodity codes, preferential origin requirements and duty/VAT treatment for international shipments
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customs brokers, supporting customs clearances, resolving queries and monitoring performance against agreed service levels
  • Monitor and reconcile duty deferment accounts and customs-related costs, working closely with finance teams to investigate discrepancies and support audits
  • Partner with warehouse and logistics teams to maintain stock accuracy, inventory integrity and customs compliance across all stock movements
  • Keep up to date with changes in customs regulations, trade agreements and compliance requirements, implementing process updates where required
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance customs processes, broker performance and operational compliance across the business

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
