WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Prepare and process import and export customs declarations in accordance with customer instructions, company procedures, and current regulations. This will include reviewing commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, air waybills, and other supporting customs documentation to ensure information is complete and correct.
- Maintain accurate shipment and customs data across relevant systems, monitor shipments throughout the customs clearance process, and proactively resolve any delays, documentation issues, or clearance queries.
- Liaise with customers, carriers, internal CEVA teams, HMRC, and other customs authorities where required.
- Calculate or verify customs duties, VAT, and other applicable charges, as well as support with customs amendments and post-clearance corrections.
- Maintain accurate customs records, ensure documentation is correctly filed and archived, and support compliance audits where required.
- Build strong professional relationships with customers, support ongoing regulatory compliance and service delivery, and stay up to date with HMRC and other statutory requirements.
- Work towards agreed customer service, accuracy, and customs clearance targets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
